Chemicals Used in Pools

The chemicals you use in the pool depend on the water source and the bather load. Here is a list of the chemicals that you may use.

Chemical Used In Pools

NWT Public Pool Regulations state:

  • You may manually add chlorine to the pool after you dissolve the chlorine in water.
  • If you add chlorine manually, you must evenly distribute it over the surface of the pool.
  • The pool must be closed to bathers while you add chlorine to the pool water; and must remain closed for at least one hour.
